High-precision, marker-free strain measurements for uniaxial and biaxial tensile and compression tests based on the microDAC® measuring method.

Thanks to digital image correlation (DIC), the system achieves a resolution of 0.01 pixels and certified measurement accuracy in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9513 (class 0.2). The natural material surface serves as the measurement basis - without the need for complex markings.

With its direct interfaces to K&W loading devices, the system enables maximum precision, reliability and seamless integration into existing testing processes.

Ideal for high-resolution strain measurements in scanning electron microscopes (SEM). The SEM image data is processed and analysed in parallel to the stress test. The DIC software VEDDAC strain contains an extension for analysing SEM images.

The basic system is aimed at users who already have suitable optical components. It offers flexible integration into existing K&W test setups. The basic system includes an industrial camera (5 or 12 MPxl), which is already connected to the VEDDAC strain software via an integrated interface and can therefore be used immediately.

The standard system is a certified video extensometer in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9513 and enables high-precision strain measurements in accuracy class 0.2. It is the ideal solution for material testing in combination with tensile and compression modules from Kammrath & Weiss.

The system includes all the necessary components for immediate commissioning:

• 5 or 12 MPxl industrial camera (GiGE interface)
• Stand assembly with plug-and-play interface to the K&W load module
• Telecentric lens (0.28x)
• Ring light illumination
• VEDDAC strain software with camera interface
